  • 1. What is the initial Investment?

    The total investment to open a Showhomes franchise ranges from $45,300 to $78,000

  • 2. How much money can I make?

    Once you've completed our online application and successfully completed an initial interview, we will provide you with our Franchise Disclosure Document which contains a section titled "Financial Performance Representations" (FPR). The FPR discloses franchisee-level financial information for locations open at least three years. This information was voluntarily submitted by our franchisees. The disclosed information includes gross sales revenue only

  • 3. How long before I start to make money?

    Since there are so many variables that go into answering this question, we do not ask our franchise owners to attempt to answer it; therefore we can't provide it to you. One of the major variables when calculating "time to cash flow positive" is debt service. Some franchisees open with no debt, while on the other end of the spectrum, other franchisees may take out loans for 70% to 75% of the total investment required. Again, we encourage you to speak with our existing and/or former franchisees to learn more about the length of time it took them to reach the point where their franchise was cash flow positive.

  • 4. How long does it take to open a franchise?

    In general, 3-6 months is typical, but it will vary depending on a number of factors. Since there is no "brick and mortar" location to build-out our franchises traditionally are faster to open up.

  • 5. Is this a full time or absentee franchise model?

    Showhomes is a hands-on business and we require that you have adequate staff to run the business. You are allowed to have a full time General Manager run the business as long as you have a total of 2 (two) full time equivalents on staff. Over 90% of our franchisees are full time.

  • 6. Do I need to be an interior designer or home stager to run this business?

    No. More than 50% of our franchisees didn't know how to stage a home when they joined our system. We offer a home staging certification as part of your training with Showhomes. You also will be managing a team of stagers over time.

  • 7. Do I Need an Office?

    No. Over 90% of our franchisees work from a home office set-up. Over time you may choose to have warehouse space that includes an office but it is not a requirement.

  • 8. How much competition is there for home staging?

    The staging industry is extremely fragmented with a majority of competitors being small locally owned businesses. Showhomes has a unique niche in that we offer the broadest range of services of any staging organization. In looking at the total numbers of homes for sale today and the demand for staging this is an industry that is extremely under served.

  • 9. Do I need to be a Realtor to own a Showhomes franchise?

    Access to local multiple listing service systems, home office lock box keys, and membership in a local board of realtors are essential to you in developing the Showhomes Business. For these reasons, we require that you hire or affiliate with a licensed real estate broker or agent if you do not hold one of these designations.
